Kalana Jayasuriya

Partner

Kalana is a Partner of the Firm. He has extensive experience in the areas of corporate transactional law and commercial law including public private partnerships, investment structuring, restructuring of companies, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions as well as litigation. His specialty lies in taking a practical commercial approach in safeguarding the interests of his client.

Kalana’s academic and professional qualifications include an LLB (Hons.) University of London, an LLM from the University of Sydney and was called to the Bar as an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (2010).

Upul was called to the bar in 1976 and later joined the Attorney General’s Department as a State Counsel in 1978. He was the first Legal Consultant to the Greater Colombo Economic Commission (GCEC) in 1978 which is now popularly known as the Board of Investment (BOI).

Upul Jayasuriya

Inpa Kanagaratnam is a Senior Consultant to the Firm, with several years of experience in the legal field; having covered both litigation and adjudication in multiple jurisdictions including Sri Lanka, Seychelles and the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience in Arbitration and the British judiciary.

Nimal Weeraratne is a senior legal practitioner who provides independent consultancy services to the firm having returned to Sri Lanka after serving as High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore & Brunei from 2015-2018.
